Construction and the boys...

So, most nights after work I try to head out to the 'site with the boys... They love to run around and I want them to get used to the site of the new house. The dirt piles are a never ending source of king if the mountain and a great start to tearing across the filed. So, the excitement I have returned home to is a SLAB!!! The rain abated for long enough for the slab to happen and it seems we are only about three weeks behind schedule right now. Quite exciting to have things moving more quickly right now.

Last night when I got home, the kids, Lois and Maceo were waiting for Ruckus and I to go out and look at the beginnings of the sub floor.

Here Lois and I are out with the kids... WEIRDOS! :)

There is so much change every day that I have to POST POST POST!

not a dry day in sight...

Well, in spite of the weather, we have a bit of the foundation done, but it may be a while before they can pour the slab.

It was nice this weekend, until about 3:00 on Sunday when it began to pour.
We will see what the rest of the week brings, but if the forecast is correct, we probably will see a lot more rain!

RAIN RAIN RAIN

This summer, I am not sure if it will ever stop raining.
I am hoping to come home today to a poured foundation. That will be great, but it is going to be very hard to get the slab poured with so much bad weather.
There has been a lot of lightening, hail and pouring rain. Also, some quite spectacular skies with storms rolling in and out.

This is the last look I had at the new house and I am hoping that it will be different when I get home from work...

A&W and the kids...

So, for a special treat, we went to A&W this week with the kids. Lois picked me up at work and we inhaled some delicious and non-nutritious fried food.
It was fun to go and have some bad food.
Elin missed out as she works in the other direction.
Then we went into town in Middlebury and the fountain at the corner of the park has been painted. I always remeber it being one color, either green or black, maybe both, I am not sure. However, it has a great design on it and the town painted it to match the iron work... Here it is:
